Well Mother Nature is throwing us a curveball this week. I don’t know what the forecast is for you folks down in the Sunbelt of Minneapolis/St. Paul and suburbs, but at Timberline it is going to be cold and for the most part, wet. With below freezing temps (20’s) from tonight through next Monday night, I cannot turn on the water for this weekend. Also the shower house/bathrooms will not have water either. We will still open on Saturday at 8:00 am but you will have to dry camp. Sorry, nothing I can do about it. The way it looks at this time, Tuesday May 2nd, will be the earliest I will have water on. You may fill buckets bottles or what have you with water at the spigot just east of the main office entrance. The office will be open 10:00 am – 1:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday. All balances are due by April 30th. Thank you!

On a brighter note, the pickle ball court construction will begin soon. Also we are opening up a fitness center in the old game room at the Rec. Hall. It will feature a Nautilus weight machine, tread mill, recumbent bike and other equipment. We should have this up and running by mid-May. The pool and pool area will be getting a much needed makeover also. Hopefully the weather cooperates so it can be ready to go by Memorial weekend. (Top Priority!)

We will take boats and golf carts out of storage Saturday, May 6th. If your cart is handy and not buried in the buildings you can probably get it if need be.

So, we will see how many of you will  brave the cold wet conditions, and do some old fashioned camping this weekend. “Glamping” should be in full swing the next weekend!

See you soon,

Vern and Cindy
