Good afternoon, Campers!  We are sorry that we haven’t been able to get newsletters out the last couple of weeks.  The software Paige uses has completely shut down unexpectedly, so we are in the process of trying to find a new one to use.  In the meantime, we will use the platform on the Timberline website.  This notice is a combination of last week’s newsletter and this week.

Wow!  What an amazing Halloween weekend here at the campground.  We want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who made it happen.  From Pam and Mike, The Scare Team for putting in all the hours planning and setting up and taking down the Terror Trail, all the volunteers who helped out.  It’s amazing what you all did, so Thank You!  We also forgot in last week’s newsletter to say Thank You to Tami James and the host sites for putting together The Timberline Totally Amazing Race the other weekend.  Sounds like fun was had by all, so we appreciate you, Tami, for taking the time out of your schedule to organize and put on this event.

Contracts are here in the office.  If you would like Paige to email one to you, let her know.  Deposits are due by September 15th if you plan on coming back.  If we don’t have your deposit by then, we will assume you will not be coming back, and we will fill your site for next season.

Did anyone find a set of camper keys in the park Halloween weekend?  They have a green holder on them.  If so, please turn them into the office.

Also, just a friendly reminder (once again), please dispose of your dog poo bags instead of leaving them on the side of the road for someone else to pick up.  Do you leave them laying around at home?  This is your second home.  Please be respectful.

Labor Day weekend is upon us and we have a lot of events planned.  Saturday morning from 8:00am – 12:00pm is the annual campground rummage sale.  Saturday afternoon at 1:00 will be a bags and cribbage tournament at the old golf course.  You can pre – register with Pam at site 51 or register the day of.  Cost is $5.00 for each.  The Mystery Catering Food Truck will be here during that time to provide you with much needed nourishment during these tournaments.  Saturday evening in the Rec Hall from 8:30 – 10:30 DJ Dave will be spinning your favorite ‘oldies’ for 80’s Prom.  Sunday at 4:00pm there will be a corn feed at the beach.  The feed is free will donations that will go towards the BeliEve Foundtion who help families who have lost a child.  Here is their web site for more information. Home | The BeliEve Foundation.   Along with the corn feed, if you would like to bring your favorite ribs and/or chili or dish to share, I’m sure no one would object.  We know there are a lot of great cooks out there in the campground!  If anyone would like to help out on Sunday at the corn feed, we could use the help.  We are also looking for coolers and turkey cookers to boil water in.  Let Pam in site 51 know if you can help.

There will be a clothing sale this weekend in the office.  20% off everything unless otherwise marked.

The Sturgeon Lake Lions Club is having a pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday from 8:00am – 12:00pm at the City Hall.

We hope everyone has a fun-filled Labor Day weekend!  It’s going to be a hot one, so stay safe!

Cheers,

Bob, Sean, Paige, and Craig
