As we wind down our 2016 season you have to wonder, where did the time go? Summer has now slipped into fall and soon the fall colors will be out in all their magnificence. We’ve all met new friends this season, friends that will be in our lives for a long time. Next season it looks as though we will completely fill up our seasonal sites. If you know someone who is considering joining us at Timberline, let them know before we run out of room!
Saturday, September 24th at 11:00 am we will begin putting boats and carts into storage. We will squeeze in as many as we can. Please bring cardboard or plastic to put under your boat motors and carts. We don’t want any oil or battery acid on the concrete floor. You must be present or have someone responsible to bring your storage item to the rec. Hall.
Don will begin final pump outs by appointment only. Sign up in the office to reserve your times. He will be doing pump outs Saturday the 24th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Sunday the 25th from 1:00 pm on. Saturday, October 1st, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Sunday, October 2nd, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The 2016 contract season ends on September 30th. If you are not returning you must be moved off your site and have your site cleaned up completely. I don’t mean to sound pushy, but we have people wanting to move into sites that have been vacated. Overnight camping charges will be instituted after the 30th. For those of you returning next year, first of all, thank you for your continued patronage. Second you may stay until 4:00 pm on Sunday October 2nd.
Hopefully the weather is decent so you can winterize and rodent proof your units without fighting any rain!
I know there is talk amongst everyone about golf carts. We have no intention on banning them but, we are working on a new registration system for them next year, that will ease the collection of proof of insurance and cart information for us.
We will be sending out weekly newsletters throughout the off season, touching on the subjects of camping and other related interests. We will also start working on our “events” list for next season. Bigger and better is our events mantra!
Deposits for 2017 are due by September 30th. See you this weekend, travel safe!
