It was a pretty good weekend at Timberline. Beautiful weather, warm campfires and meeting new friends. We had an awesome turnout at our first “Kidz Kamp” with an estimated fifty young attendees making gifts for their mothers. Krissy wants to thank all the teen and adult volunteers who came and helped out!!

I also want to thank all of you golf cart owners for your quick response on getting the necessary information to us! We had one incident where an underage driver was stopped driving a cart. FYI; we will be enforcing the rules and if you aren’t sure what the consequences are, please read your golf cart contract. If you’ve misplaced your contract copy, we can make you a copy of your signed contract. Thank you.

The weather quite frankly has not been conducive in allowing me time to do all the planned upgrades to our pool area thus far. Painting of the pool itself will have to wait until fall or spring. It takes 10 days for the paint to cure and would put our scheduled opening in serious jeopardy! Pickle ball court construction should begin next week. We are also putting new playground equipment next to the basketball court area!! The completion date should be sometime in June. The fitness center should also be ready by early June.

Our first major event will be happening Saturday, May 27th, 7:00 pm at the Rec. Hall. Our annual Memorial Weekend dance is happening with this years theme, “Pink Out”! Pink attire will be the style for this night of music, dancing and more!! This is a family event.

The pool (weather permitting) will open Saturday morning the 27th at 10:00 am. The Snack Bar will also open that weekend and will again feature hard scooped ice cream.

We are  also adding an event: The 5th Annual Craft Sale will be returning on Saturday, July 15th. It will run from 9am to 1pm. Email (cindygus.wildtree@gmail.com) or call Cindy Gustafson at 218-393-9677  for vendor form. Discounted space price for campers that sign up by May 31st, before the general public.

A few reminders; 1) Saturday, May 20th is the last day we will be picking up needles. After that you will have to dispose of them yourselves. 2) The dumpsters are for household garbage that is generated at the park only. Please break down your boxes as we get charged by volume. Some body put a television monitor in the dumpster last week. This is not allowed. Also do not put paint, oil, solvents or any hazardous liquids of any type in the dumpsters. We get charged $75 extra if  there is a spill. 3) we had to send out one of our sewage lift station pumps out for repair. We are down to one pump and it cannot keep up at times. We will close the laundry facilities on weekends until we get the second pump back.

As always we look forward to another great weekend of making memories at Timberline. Please travel safe and we will see you soon.
